When we originally talked about going out on our own, we debated heading into a big city as to attract a larger audience, but ultimately we decided that we wanted to stay in a quaint small town, where we can call, "Home," in New Hope, Pennsylvania. TJ Clifford, a Bucks County native and former biologist, grew up in the area so this place truly is home for him. His love for food stems from Philly roots of tailgate grilling, barbeque, and bold flavors with meticulous plating. TJ's quote to live by, "I believe a man is no closer to God than when in front of a grill. Paired well with a glass of tequila, bourbon, or red wine, then you've truly reached Heaven." Bari Buiso, a New York transplant with a background in finance, is a volunteer on the New Hope Celebrates board and has turn this community into her family. Bari's Italian roots bring out flavorful sauces and dressings. Her sauce is red, and if you ask her, it's "gravy," never sauce. It's garlic fueled, and second to none. Between the two of us, we have over half a century of experience in hospitality. We had careers in other fields, but had always worked on and off in hospitality. We love making others happy and the best way we know how is by bringing people together through food and drink. It was fate when we met, and decided to make this our lives' goal. The two of us took that into consideration during the hiring process. Every employee at Mechanic Street Station is someone we have shared dinner with, caught up with over drinks, invited into our homes and have been to theirs, and would literally call “ Our Family.” Here at Mechanic Street Station we love what we do. To us, people gather around a table whether it’s a celebration, a holiday, or simply Sunday night dinner, to converse and share with people they care about. We provide the opportunity for those occasions, no matter how casual or intimate. Making people smile is our goal and, in turn, we are able to share in those special moments.
Eat, Drink, & Be Merry.
