2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing: Unveiling All the New Features and Upgrades

The 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing represents the third model year of the high-performance luxury sedan, which made its debut for the 2022 model year. The third model year introduces some changes, and GM Authority is here to tell you exactly what’s new and different.

The 2024 CT4-V Blackwing continues to be available as a subcompact four-door sedan in a single trim level.

Mechanical

Mechanically, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing continues to be powered exclusively by the twin-turbo 3.6L V6 LF4 gasoline engine rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed manual transmission, sourced from Tremec, continues as standard, while GM’s ten-speed auto is an extra-cost option. The performance sedan continues to be available exclusively in rear-wheel-drive.

Exterior

On the outside, the 2024 CT4-V Blackwing deletes four exterior colors and replaces them with four new ones.

Deleted exterior colors:

  • Blaze Orange Metallic (GCF)
  • Wave Metallic (GKK)
  • Electric Blue (GMO)
  • Rift Metallic (GRW)

New exterior colors:

  • Velocity Red (G7C)
  • Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
  • Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
  • Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK)

Rounding out the changes to the exterior is the addition of Gloss Black V-badging nameplate (LPO RIK) as a standalone dealer-installed option.

Interior

Inside, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing ditches the Air Ionizer (KEM) feature and replaces it with a pollutant, odor and fine dust air filter (K6L), including and only available as part of the Technology package (CWM).

Technology

No changes are made to the driver assist tech for the 2024 model year.

Packages

And that brings us to packages, where the CT4-V Blackwing sees a whole bunch.

First up is the addition of 20th Anniversary of V-Series Commemorative content, including 20th anniversary grille header decal and a unique cluster wake up animation. This is standard for the 2024 model year.

Additionally, a new CT4-V Blackwing Red Accent Package is added as an LPO-level, or dealer-installed, option. As the name implies, the package includes a bevy of red-themed accents, including red wheel center caps (LPO 5ZE) and decals (LPO SFC), plus black wheel lug nuts (LPO SPY) and black wheel lops (LPO SPZ).

From there, the performance luxury sedan swaps the three IMSA Editions introduced for the 2023 model year for three Mondrian Editions:

Deleted special editions:

  • Sebring IMSA Edition (ZLD)
  • Watkins Glen IMSA Edition (ZLE)
  • Road Atlanta IMSA Edition (ZLG)

New special editions (Mondrian Editions):

  • Impact Edition (ZLJ)
  • Arrival Edition (ZLK)
  • Elevation Edition (ZLR)

Looking Ahead

We originally expected the 2025 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing to receive a much-needed mid-cycle refresh, which would have brought the updated interior/cockpit introduced for the 2025 CT5 over to the 2025 CT4 range. However, we’ve recently begun to question whether that refresh will actually take place. In fact, it’s currently unclear if the CT4 range as a whole has a future in North America given the nameplate’s dismal sales performance. Here’s to hoping that the CT4-V Blackwing has a future past the 2024 model year.
