The market for electric vehicles is now seeing a surge due to advancements in battery technology

 offer longer battery life and quicker charging periods, making them more practical for daily usage.

Fisker, which just over ten years ago produced the distinctive Karma plug-in hybrid,

 returning to the market with the Ocean, a new SUV.

YouTuber Doug DeMuro had a chance to try out the new Ocean to see whether it may be a good

substitute for vehicles like Ford's Mustang Mach-E or Tesla's wildly popular Model Y.

Doug first outlined the basic specifications of the Ocean. Fisker's new product 

surprises in this regard, as the car he reviewed, the top-of-the-range One model, 

dual-motor powertrain that provides 565 hp. This allows it to hit 60 mph in 3.7 seconds, 

while it can achieve a range of around 360 miles. It also charges from 10% to 80% in around 35 minutes.

These figures are similar to those of the Ford Mach-E GT and the Tesla Model Y Performance

While the Ford and Tesla are slightly faster to 60 mph, the Ocean does have them beaten
