NASCAR Chevy drivers won over the stock car racing fanbase in the Cup
Xfinity Series once again, as Chase Elliott and Justin Allgaier each earned
the 2023 NMPA Most Popular Driver Award in their respective divisions.
Chase Elliott, driver of the No. 9 Chevy Camaro, clinched the Most Popular Driver
title in the Cup Series for the sixth consecutive year. He’s one of only five driver
have won the award five times or more in the division, following Richard Petty
Bobby Allison (8), Dale Earnhardt Jr. (15) and Elliott’s own father,
Bill Elliott (16).“I don’t ever take it for granted,” Elliott said, “You know,
I think it’s an easy thing to look at and to think that I would,
but always grateful for the honor and always, always grateful to have the support
