The introduction of strong electric cars marked a turning point in the history of drag racing.

However, Lucid Air has emerged as a new rival. In a recent race between a Taycan Turbo s

 a Lucid Air Dream Edition, DragTimes came out on top.

Once the Lucid Air Dream Edition was released, the competition for best hyper electric vehicle changed. 

Although the Air Dream Edition's deliveries started late last year, owners haven't taken

 any reservations to drive their new EV to compete with other vehicles on the drag strip. 

 After all, the 5,200-lb Lucid Air Dream Edition is the newest electric behemoth 

on the block with a maximum output of 1,111 horsepower and 775 lb-ft of torque.

According to Motor Trend, the Lucid Air Dream Edition really competed in a race against a Tesla

which weighed 4,800 pounds and produced 1,020 horsepower and 1,050 lb-ft of torque.
