According to GM Authority, some of General Motors' North American assembly factories 

will shut after the New Year for maintenance. Following the Christmas season,

the GM Factory Zero factory, which manufactures the GMC Hummer EV and the Chevy Silverado EV, 

 will also experience lengthy downtime.

According to Automotive News, the GM Factory Zero factory

 GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant) in Michigan will shut during the week

The facility's production will restart the week of January 8th, 2023.

Of course, all GM North American assembly plants will be closed for the holiday week of December 25th, 2023.

As previously stated, certain factories, notably the GM Fort Wayne factory 

will be shuttered for an additional week after the Christmas break.

These plants manufacture the Bow Tie brand's Silverado 1500 and Silverado HD
