Even the most devoted fans of acceleration may ultimately become weary

races that yield the same results, despite the fact that dragstrip competitions against

Tesla Model S Plaid are a YouTube mainstay. However, a recent endeavor from

Cammisa and the Hagerty YouTube channel upends the existing quo in the speed world.

The Tesla Model S Plaid, a Lucid Air Sapphire, and a Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport are all shown in the film.

Elon Musk may want to be concerned about the new Lucid Air Sapphire

, even if Tesla was the fastest production vehicle in terms of acceleration.

The two EVs seem closely matched in performance specs, with the Model S Plaid offering

torque against the Air Sapphire’s 1,200-plus ponies (torque specs weren’t available).

Meanwhile, the Chiron Pur Sport appears ready for all comers with 1,479 horsepower

lb-ft of torque from an 8.0-liter W16 engine. But there’s more to consider than just numbers.

Camissa explains that traction and torque make the difference with initial acceleration.
