Barn finds can come in all shapes and sizes, and can surface at any moment

ready for their next owner to take them away to restore them and rediscover their past glory.

This was exactly the scenario expert Barn Find Hunter, Tom Cotter,

found himself in when he stumbled across a seemingly abandoned Chevrolet Corvette C3

Tom decided to find the owner to find out the story, for Hagerty's YouTube channel.

Tom began the video by introducing the stunning 1979 Corvette C3 in white and its owner Alan.

The sports car had been purchased by Alan two years before the video as a project vehicle

he had since carried out some work on it in his mission to get it back on the road.

Tom found that the Corvette had covered just under 35,000 miles in its life, a figure Alan was confident was legit.

Alan then revealed that the car had the base-level 350 ci L82 V8 motor which produced 195 hp.

Tom later found though that after checking the vehicle on Hagerty's valuation tool,

it had the more powerful version of the engine, tuned to 225 hp.
