The choice to field Corvette vehicles is the outcome of a year-long negotiating process between
Corvette Racing and Pratt Miller Motorsports leadership, as well as AWA team owner
and technical director Andrew Wojteczko.In a statement, Wojteczko stated, "We had our first
Corvette and General Motors last year in Canada [at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park]
To see that come together to the announcement is incredibly satisfying and exciting for us to be a part of."
